Three films for the live performance
of Don Blackman’s legendary self-titled album in New York City, October 2025.

The first film introduced the man and his immense talent as a musician. The second took the audience behind the scenes, introducing the recording process and how the album came to life. The third and final film highlighted the legacy he left behind, with insights from his peers and collaborators, as well as reflections on his influence on the next generation. The show featured musicians from the original album alongside Don Blackman’s kids. The archival material was captured by Blackman, contemporary footage was shot by me.
