To celebrate the cities comeback in 2021, we collaborated with the Radio City dancers. With their optimistic spirit and infectious moves, we aimed to inspire all New Yorkers to join in.

Shot during the pandemic via face time in New York City and Hamburg, Germany

While one lockdown and all gyms were closed, we started to workout together via face zoom. Those regular sessions were a sanity saver! It really helped to know, Melodie was ‘in the room’, just to hear her laugh or curse made this experience so much more fun and less lonely. She was then approached by Adidas for a collaboration and we shot this story in her apartment and the local Hamburg ice/roller skating rink. Me in New York, camera pointed to my iPad, her on location, connected via face time and headphones. Since I know the locations so well, it was easy to direct her and the camera angles I was looking for. Truth be told, she is such a dream to work with and made this new way of working fun and flawless.

Once we were able to travel again, we shot the second collaboration with Adidas on site in Hamburg. This time, we worked out together and in real time.
